Crew

“I've got the ship, I've got all the best stuff, and I still have plenty of moolah; you're asking a man who has everything, what he needs? I'll tell you; what I need, is trust and character. A Captain is only as good as the crew under him, or her, as the case may be. Now I've answered your question, my turn. Son, can I trust you?” - Captain Wilhelm “Stryker” Sturmreiter, Legendary Pirate Lord

Even the best Captains of Sios are nothing without a reliable Crew to rely upon. Although Airship technology has advanced to the point that any Ship could be sufficiently piloted by a single Captain working on his/her own, the fact remains that no Ship's full potential can ever be realized unless it has a full complement of at least 8 Crew members. Therefore, Crew is important not only for handling the Ship, but also for various other purposes.

While the base Action Point (AP) regeneration rate in Battlestations! is 5 AP/hr, having active Captains as part of your Crew can increase it to a maximum of 7 AP/hr.

Therefore,

Less than 3 active Crew: 5 AP/hr
At least 3 active Crew: 6 AP/hr
8 active Crew: 7 AP/hr

A Captain must have logged in at least once in the past 7 days to be considered “Active”.

* For Ocho players *

Captains who have bought Ocho gains an additional +3 AP/hr to their AP regeneration rate; this means they have 8 AP/hr as their base AP regeneration rate. Additionally, this increased base rate is not affected by the number of active Crew a Captain has, so a Captain who has bought Ocho need not worry about his/her Crew going inactive, and thus affecting his/her AP regeneration rate.

Other Bonuses of having Crew

Having active Crew gives a bonus to the probability of success during Crafting. Having a full complement of 8 Crew gives a 10% bonus to Crafting/Refining.

Recruiting Crew

There are two ways to go about recruiting Crew.

  • One way is to invite your friends to join BattleStations throught the Facebook Invite system. This can be done by going to the Crew page, and clicking the “Send Invites” button. Then, just follow the instructions to invite your friends to become Captains, or current Captains to become part of your Crew!
  • The other, and more rewarding way, is to invite your friends using the Referral link. Every Captain has their individual Referral link, which is as follows:

http://apps.facebook.com/battlestations/new.php?invite=xxxxx

where xxxxx is your Captain Name.

Gifting to Friends

Captains can send and receive certain items to their friends from the Crew Page. This is useful if you would like to help friends who are lower in their Level get ahead in Battlestations!.

Captains just need to click on the “Send Free Gift” button on the Crew Page.

Some of the items such as Alloy Plating is used for Crafting of more powerful Weapons and Parts. You can be helping your friends save on resources when you gift these items to them.

Each item requires a specific number of friends to send parts to him before the recipient Captain gets the item. For instance, the Advanced Cannon requires the recipient Captain to have 5 friends sending parts to him before he gets the item. Number of parts required can be seen when the Captain clicks on the “CLAIM GIFTS” button.

The gifting links which you send to your friends is valid for 3 days.Your friends will not get the part sent if they click on the link after 3 days.

You are only able to gift an item that is below your current Level, but you can accept gifts that are higher than your Level.
