Clan Members Recruitment

New limits on recruitment of new clan members:

A clan cannot recruit members who are level 160 and above if:
the clan has equal or more than 10% of all level 160 and above in Sios.

A clan cannot recruit members who are level 180 and above if:
the clan has equal or more than 10% of all level 180 and above in Sios.

A clan cannot recruit members who are level 200 and above if:
the clan has equal or more than 10% of all level 200 and above in Sios.


  1. Banned captains and game admins are excluded from these numbers.
  2. The levels are also based on the captain's highest level captain.
  3. Sios captains numbers are calculated daily.
  4. Clan Masters and Admirals can see a summary of their current numbers in the Inner Sanctum.

  • Any clan with 50k Clan Power or more will not be able to recruit new members who are level 100 or above.
  • They will also not be able to unpacify members. (members will not be able to unpacify themselves as well).

The Combat Animation has been updated with the following:

  1. Multiple attacks by the same weapon in the same phase will be shown as 1 attack animation.
    The combat log will show how many hits was done in that attack.
  2. Clicking the “Quality” button will hide the background on low setting.

Warring Status Criteria

For clans to remain in warring status:

  • Minimum 30 warring captains who are “active” in the last 7 days.
  • A captain is classified as active as long as his last log in is within 7 days.Only warring clans are ranked and may salvage their fort for clan wars.
  • Return to Warring status will be not be automated and will be monitored and manually done by the Devs/Admin.Pacification of clans is still automated, but is subjected to monitoring by the Devs/Admin.
  • Clan that do not salvage the fort at all during the week or salvage infrequently can and will be pacified by the Devs/Admin at our disgression.
  • Clans who wish to return to warring status will have to send in a “Support Ticket” to be get back to “Warring” status.
  • Unpacification by Admin will only be done on Thursdays before the CP calculation as usual.
  • Admin Clan may salvage during the week to test clans and clans who failed the test may get pacified as well.

Plasma Rock Limit

The Plasma Rocks limit that each captain can store has been raised to 500.

Skill

  • Charge!: Activation chance increased to 100%
  • Strafe: Damage dealt increased from -20% to -18%

New Island Base Buildings: Gold Mine and Refueling Stations

Gold Mine

  • Free with Ocho Starter Pack
  • Players who have ever bought Ochos will recieve this when the visit their island base.
  • Generates gold daily (can store up to 3 days worth).


You need to collect the gold by clicking on the building in the island base.

Refueling Station

  • Generates AP daily (can store up to 3 days worth).
  • Building and upgrading will require assistance from friends.

Ore Pit will be renamed to Ore refinery and image changed. (The old Ore Pit image will be used for the Gold Mine)

Fort Repairs

Repairing a fort with your own gold will now add to your contribution amount in the Clan Contributors list.

Expedition Bosses

  • Additional gold rewards will be given out for the successful defeat of expedition bosses.
  • The gold rewards will be divided among the participants based on the percentage of damage dealt.
  • Minor Boss versions will be encountered when Captains attack a Boss Monster for the first time.

Minor Boss versions will:

  • will still drop the leader rewards.
  • will have alot less health.
  • does not have assist rewards.
  • gives reduced bonus gold rewards.
  • does not give achievement for dealing the most damage.

Clan Creation

New clan creation will now be restricted based on the number of existing clans.

  1. If there are currently too many clans, no new clans can be formed.
  2. This number is based on the number of tiers.


If you are not able to create a clan now, you can:

  1. Wait for inactive clans to be removed so that the slot is opened up, or
  2. Wait for more tiers to be created, or
  3. Just join an existing clan

Warring Frequency

War Frequency added to clan description.
Captains joining a clan can choose a clan based on the warring frequency.

Quick Build option for Island Base

Quick Build time reduction percentage will be reduced to 40% from 50%.

War point

The maximum war points your clan can get when you sink an enemy fort is 1000.

The minimum war points your clan can get when you sink an enemy fort will depend on which tier your clan is from.

New Skills added

Soldier Class:

1) Good Position (Level 100): Start an extra 500 yards from the enemy. Weapon range +100. (only works on defense and class specific to Soldier)
2) Strafe (Level 150): Always stay in range to fire all weapons. -17% damage dealt (only works on defense and class specific to Soldier)

Pirate Class:

3) Charge! (Level 100): Immune to weapon slow down, receive 10% more damage (only when attacking)

Mechanic Class:

4) Magnetic Mines (Level 100): Damage and slow opponent every round by level * 20 damage and -5% speed. (only works on defense and class specific to Mechanic)

Scout Class:

5) Ramming Speed (Level 100): +50% Speed from NAV (only when attacking)


You can only have a max of 6 active skills at one time.

IMPORTANT :
(For dual class captains): Skills that are CLASS specific can only be used when your active captain is of that class.

Some skills are not class specific.

Collider Rockets has been set to update:

New Auction House Rules

The next bid on an auctioned item will now be based on the higher of the following:

  1. Previous bid + 5% of the Estimated Gold Value (EGV)
  2. Previous bid + 5% of the previous bid


Making a bid on an item will also randomly increase its auction time by 0-60 seconds.

New Shipyard Interface

  • Captains will be able to purchase any ship from every major port in-game.Availability of ships are no longer restricted by location.
  • Renaming of Ships no longer on Shipyard page.Renaming of Ship can still be done on Hangar page.

Fort Limits and War Console

  • War Console will be disabled.
  • Each tier will have a limit of having a maximum of 4 forts up at any one time.

Paired Fortress Damage

Each pair of floating fort will be damaged if they are floating for more than 30 minutes.The damage will set in 15 mins after the 30th min mark.

  • This will take occur even if there are less than 4 floating forts.
  • The damage rate will be 10% of max fort HP every 15 minutes after the initial 30 minutes buffer.And this damage will take place on any 2 clans
  • It is possible for a fort to be sunk by the system from the damage mentioned above.
  • The system will always try to leave 1 fort floating. i.e. If only 2 forts are floating and both are reduced to zero HP by the system, the fort which salvaged later will be left with 1 HP instead.

Clans A - B pair: Latest salvage time is 10:00H. Paired floating time of 45 minutes. 10% damage dealt to both forts. No other forts affected.

Clans A - C pair: Latest salvage time is 10:15H. Paired floating time of 45 minutes. 10% damage dealt to both forts.

Crew and Generators

  • The crew system will replace the generators on 16 Aug 2010.

Generators will be removed.
Refunds only for generators purchased with resources.

For players who purchased Ocho:
+3 AP regen/hr will be unaffected (even if you have 0 crew).

For Non-Ocho purchasing players:
Additional 1 AP/hour : If you have at least 3 active crew.
Additional 1 AP/hour : If you have 8 active crew.

  • Trade Vessel (Max upgrade level 40) and Scout Cutter (Max upgrade level 45) will be permanently removed from the shipyards on 13 Aug 10 (server time).

Salvage Time

Fort salvage time after weekend event will be reduced to 1 hour max if your current clan salvage time is longer than 1 hour when the weekdays token are given out.

Basically ,if you receive your daily token at 0400hr, you can salvage even if you just used at 0300hr during the weekend event.

This should apply to the clans that salvage during the last few hours of the weekend.

Weekend Clan Wars

  • No tokens needed to salvage during weekends.
  • 5 Hours cooldown when the fortress is sunk before the clan can salvage the fort again.
  • Weekend auto-salvage remains unchanged.

War Console

  • An alarm will sound when a fort is salvaged (You can turn the sound off).
  • Captains can withdraw AP from the AP bank in the war console (Fixed at 100AP per withdraw).
  • Admirals and Clan Masters can now preset command messages in the war console.
  • Admirals and Clan Masters can type ”-buzz” as a message to send a buzz sound to other members.
  • Defenders levels are shown now.
  • Attackers' icon color changed.

Dark Blade

The Dark Blade refining will be changed to:

  • Max refine reduced to +3
  • New Dark Blade +3 has the same stats as the old Dark Blade +5
  • All Dark Blade +4 and Dark Blade +5 weapons converted to Dark Blade +3

Fort Upgrade and warchest changes

  • Fort repairs unlocks when a captain reaches level 50 and attains at least 10 PvP wins.

New guidelines on captain names / Ocho user names

Captain names or Ocho user names using the following format may be banned:

  • Sequential names - may be banned
  • Names ending with numbers - may be banned
  • Gibberish names - may be banned

Level Requirement for using Resource Exchange

Level requirement for using resource exchange is raised to level 40.

War Medal Requirement for FCM

War Medal requirement for clan creation is raised to 30.

Loot Distribution for Boss Battle

  • There will be 2 loot items. This is available for battle initiator and the top 10 damage dealing captains assisting the Boss Battles.
  • To be eligible to for the loot items:the Monster Boss must be sunk. Only top 10 captains will be considered for the loot items. They have to have at least 20 attacks or 50% of the Monster Boss HP each on the Monster Boss.
  • The more damage you deal, the higher the chances of you getting the loot items.

For initiator:

[dmg dealt% + initiator bonus (20%) + additional chance due to no of captains in boss battle] x base drop rate of loot item.


For assist captain:

[dmg dealt% +additional chance due to no of captains in boss battle] x base drop rate of loot item.


  • Additional +2% chance of looting will be given for each captain assisting in the Boss Battle, limit to additonal 20% chance for each assist captain.
  • You will not get the Reward if you reached the inventory limit for the item.
  • Assist Rewards have a percentage chance to drop (NOT 100%).

Weapons Refining

Refining of weapons is done on the same page as crafting.
Selected ocho items can be used for refining.

Refining now always succeeds after 4 consecutive failed attempts on the SAME item.

Players can refer to the Complete list of Weapons for Refining.

New Crew System

* This applies to non-ocho purchasing captains only.*

Having active captains in your crew can help you get more AP regen.(max: +2 AP/hr regen)

Having at least 3  active crew gives : +1 AP/hr regen
Having 8  active crew gives : +2 AP/hr regen

Active captain is defined as having logged in at least once in the past 7 days.

* For all ocho captains *

You will have +3 AP/hr regen, regardless of the crew count.

However, referral rewards are being given to all players,regardless if you are an ocho purchasing player or non-ocho player.

At the same time,having active captains as crew will increase your possibility of a successful refining on certain weapons.

Reduced Salvage Cost

Starting at Server Time: 16 Jun 2010 20:00

  • Salvage cost reduced to 5 AP from 8 AP.
  • Max AP repair cost reduced accordingly as well. (i.e. 5 AP for full repair)
  • If your ship is sunk, it will auto-salvage when you login after 3 days.
  • Reduction of salvage cost over-time is removed.
  • Auto-repair over-time is removed.
  • Salvage/Repair AP cost for those below level 10 remains as 3AP

New clan fortress salvage token system:


  • Clan fortresses can now be salvaged using “Salvage Tokens”.
  • Tokens will not carry over to the next day.
  • When your clan fortress is sunk, there will be a 15 mins cool-down before the salvage token can be used.
  • Tokens will be renewed at these time:
  Weekends: 04:00H,10:00H,16:00H,22:00H
  Weekdays: 04:00H


Tokens allocation:

  • Each clan outside Tier S will get 1 token at the token renewal time.
  • Tier S clans will get 2 tokens at the token renewal time during weekdays.

Tier D

New Tier “D” added between Training Tier and Tier “C” added.

Changes pertaining Clan Warring status

With effect from 07 May 2010 00:00H, the clan warring status requirements will be revised as follows (determined during every Friday's clans update):

  • Minimum 30 warring captains who are “active” in the last 7 days.
  • Clans who do not meet this requirement during the Friday updates will not be able to participate in clan war.
  • A captain is deemed to be active as long as he/she has login to Battle Stations at least once in the last 7 days before the clan update.
  • Vacation mode captains will continue to be excluded from clan power and warring membership considerations.

The inactive clan deletion criteria will remain as:

  • Minimum 30 captains (regardless of last login or warring status).


This update is in view of the large number of inactive members and warring clans.

New: Boss Battles

  • Each map location will have a boss monster (only the Jade harbour boss, Mechakaiju, is available now, for level 75 or above).
  • Each captain can only start a boss battle once every 72 hours.
  • Each captain can only join a total of 2 active battles.
  • You can request for help from your friends to defeat the boss monster.
  • Up to 50 captains (including yourself) can take part in each battle.
  • The battle is over when the monster is defeated or has escaped (after 3 days).

Loot Items:

  • To be eligible to get the loot drop, you must deal at least 50% of total monster health OR contribute at least 20 attacks.
  • If there are more than 10 captains, only the top ten eligible damage dealers will get a chance to get the loot drop.
  • The battle initiator gets a bonus 10% chance to win the loot if he/she is eligible.
  • The more damage you deal, the higher the chances of you getting the loot drop.
  • You will not get the loot drop if you reached the inventory limit for the item.

Achievements:

  • The highest damage dealer will get an award for defeating the monster.

This is advisable as it is necessary for clan creators to have some clan war experience to prevent the clan from being deleted in 2 week's time.

  • Items sold to the shop will now be worth 50% of the EGV (Estimated Gold Value).The EGV used in the shop is a fixed value that is not affected by the market rate.You can also trash items with zero values in the shop by selling them (e.g. gears from quest).
  • Minimum level for Clan Founder raised to level 80.
  • Clan creation fee raised to 5 million gold.

  • The island base is now available! Construct buildings on your island base to earn gold, resources and even reduce your ship repair costs!
  • Super Weapon lane assignment cooldown has been increased to 22 seconds.
  • Resource limit will be enforced on Island base and daily mining returns.The 2 activities will share a common limit.

  • Server maintenance on 17 Feb 10 22:00.Server will be offline for approx. 10-20 mins.
  • Update of level up bonus will be applied during this maintenance.
  • Whenever you level up, you will get free 25 AP in your AP counter.
  • Existing captains will have their current level bonus credited in their AP bank.

  • New war console for clan warring.
  • Admirals and Clan masters can issue short command messages to display to members within the war console.
  • Admirals and Clan masters can control the super weapon within the war console.
  • The War Console will only show the first 3 enemy clan forts that are available for attacks. (You can use diplomacy to hide other forts if too many are up at the same time)
  • Clan attack cooldown increased to 10 seconds.
  • Will be available on the current clan war page as an alternative test page.
